Oakland is located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. However, “The Town” is distinct from its neighbor “[The] City” (San Francisco) due to its unique culture and planning history. Since its incorporation in 1852, Oakland has experienced changes in its demographic make-up, population size, economic vitality, neighborhood establishments, social initiatives and more. Currently, it is situated with an economically and ethnically diverse population as well as having a diverse stock of available resources. Therefore, Experts soundly suggest that Oakland is quite prepared to swiftly accommodate future growth and development.
